Kirill Sarychev: More Than Records

It all started with a barbell at home and a small gym in Pugachev. A world record, the international federation WRPF, and my own shows and brands came later. These parts of my life developed side by side: I kept competing while building a team for new projects.

The International Federation WRPF: The Competitions I Wanted to Create

We began setting up the international federation WRPF in 2014. We held our first competitions in May 2015. That November, I bench-pressed 335 kg without supportive equipment and set a world record. I continued competing while working on the federation.

As an athlete, I knew how important the organization of a competition, its equipment, and the treatment of competitors were. I wanted athletes’ performances to receive more attention and competitions to be engaging to watch. Those goals shaped our work on the international federation WRPF, which I founded and lead.

From Competitions to My Own Shows

At Sarychev Power Expo, we brought competitions and strength shows together. With the Punch Club team, we work on bouts in unusual settings: inside a phone booth for Punch Box and inside a car for CarJitsu.

In “Na Raz” and other episodes on my channel, champions, musicians, and actors test themselves in physical challenges.

My Own Brands

KG is my training gear brand, and Painkiller is my clothing brand. I have also drawn on my training experience to create workout programs. Even while I was competing, I was thinking about what else I wanted to do.

New Roles and Interests

I also take part in television shows. In 2025, Vasily Kamotsky and I won the TNT reality show “Bolshoy Kush. Bangkok.”

I also studied for a second degree at RANEPA and pursued independent study. My thesis focused on Constantine the Great.
